New Ross Walls Project
We were delighted to be part of the great project run by Wexford County Council and the Walls Project in New Ross 2021. This saw our building transformed in to a huge canvas for a stunning piece of Norman themed art. The creation of talented and world renowned artist Nina Valkoff. We loved following the progress of this mammoth undertaking each day as we arrived and left work.
It has definitely been a talking point in the town, and with our customers. We are consistently hearing from people who are just wowed by the scale and beauty of the mural. We really enjoyed having Nina in town and hope she will come visit again soon.
Sports Club
A little known fact about Breen’s Hardware is the sponsorship and support that Paddy has provided to local teams in the surrounding areas for years now. Paddy has been a huge advocate for women’s sports and has helped to fund uniforms and equipment to ensure the teams could continue training and playing. In New Ross Paddy has supported both the men and women’s Geraldine O’Hanrahan’s teams, as well as the Kennedy college, and in the surrounding areas he has sponsored Tullogher, St Mullins and Glenmore to name a few.
Its not only through funding that Paddy has shown his devotion, he is also a keen supporter and can be seen at training sessions and matches cheering the teams on and rooting for players. In a small town like New Ross, the support is vital and has kept many teams going through difficult times.
