Our Story
Breen’s Hardware
Breen’s Hardware is 40 years on Mary Street, New Ross. Set up by Paddy’s father as J Breen’s and Son’s. The long-standing family business is led by Paddy Breen and has become a landmark fixture in New Ross offering a wide range of hardware to the people of town and its hinterland.
Building a customer base through excellent personal service and customer care. Over the past 40 years we have adapted to huge changes in the hardware business. The shop has only a team of two, Paddy and Mary-Anne, who are experts in all things paint, hardware, plumbing and key cutting.
Paddy would like to thank all their customers for their support and loyalty over the years and look forward to seeing you all again in the near future.
There’s not many people in town who don’t know Paddy’s kindness, generosity, skill, and positive attitude, which is why this business is so well known and such a success for so many years!
Paddy’s is blessed among women throughout the years in the shop with his right-hand woman for many years Eileen Laffan. With years of experience, Eileen can find everting from the smallest drill bit or the most obscure pipe fitting to get the local tradesmen of the town out of a jam.
Passing this priceless skill on to MaryAnn who has been the driving force of the shop since Eileen retired last year. MaryAnn is with us now for 15 years and her expert knowledge of Plumbing, painting and general hardware needs makes her a valuable asset to the tradesmen and DIY’rs of New Ross. Finding the exact product to suit your needs, as well as offering friendly advice on how to use or get the most from product you’re looking for.
